Janus 0.4 and higher versions are released under GPLv3 license, meaning that you can use it for free as long as you fulfill all GPLv3 statements.
Janus Internal Usage License (JIUL)
For clients that cannot or do not want to use software licensed under GPLv3, we offer a commercial license.
Janus Commercial Redistribution License (JCRL)
We also provide a range of commercial licenses that allow to integrate Janus into other commercial products or projects without any obligation to publish the source code of your derivative work on the Internet, as the GPLv3 normally requires.

All Redistribution Licenses require an agreement to be signed in two copies by the legal representative of your company and by a Janus consortium legal representative. Each party keeps a copy of the agreement. Payments must be performed via bank/wire transfer.
What is the GNU GPLv3?
The GNU General Public License version 3 (GNU GPLv3 or simply GPLv3) is a widely-used free software license, originally written by Richard Stallman for the GNU movement. The GPLv3 is an example of a powerful copyleft license that requires derivative works to be released to the public under the same license.
